Description
This jaguar is the mother of two cubs. She had been trying to hunt with no success for two days. In this afternoon, after crossing the wide Cuiabá River, she was able to capture this yacare caiman. In the photo, she is tired, biting the reptile base of the skull. She will rest a little before finalizing the kill. Then she will be able to eat and take care of her cubs. It’s said the jaguars nursing only eat fresh meat, so she must constantly hunt.
