Description
Photographed in all its iridescent splendour is a flower chafer beetle of the subfamily Cetoniinae clinging to the tendril of a plant in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This attractive bug primarily feeds on the pollen and nectar of flowers, and is sometimes categorised as a pest by farmers. This shimmering portrait is an ode to the teeny wonders that we can still find in our backyards.
