Milky Way over Gariep Dam
On travels between the Western Cape and Gauteng, I stopped at the Gariep Dam, close to the Great Karoo. This area has the cleanest dry air allowing for incredible night skies. This is a 20 second exposure capturing the Milky Way in all its’ brilliance.
In 2015 my lightning photographs were published internationally. Since then I have been chasing storms around the greater Johannesburg area every summer without fail. Most of my work is based on landscape photography, some that include elements of lightning, and others that are pure landscapes. I also have a range of award winning boxing photographs of local boxers in world title matches and photos in many other genres.
