Composite lightning image
This image was shot on the 27th of November 2013 and got published in The Times (London) (South Africa). It also formed part of the World Meteorological Organisation’s calendar in 2016, was exhibited at the United Nations on Earth Day 2016.
It is a composite of 43 images that were shot over 10 minutes in the South of Johannesburg. One of the most extreme electric storms that I have ever photographed.
In 2015 my lightning photographs were published internationally. Since then I have been chasing storms around the greater Johannesburg area every summer without fail. Most of my work is based on landscape photography, some that include elements of lightning, and others that are pure landscapes. I also have a range of award winning boxing photographs of local boxers in world title matches and photos in many other genres.
